Description
Some KLR models from 2004 – 2007 may have a longer shank that do not allow the bolts to tighten to the bearing. If that is the case, we recommend the addition of either a 14 mm split type lock washer or a 15 mm flat washer under the nut of both link mounting bolts. Lowering amounts indicate REAR lowering, NOT overall bike height lowering. When installing rear lowering links, the front can be adjusted by moving the forks upwards in the triple clamps. This will lower the bike more over-all and will speed up the steering. Leaving the front forks in stock location will increase stability at speed but have a slower steering feel. Please note: Lowering the front and/or rear of your motorcycle will change the geometry and may affect the handling, use caution after making changes/adjustments.
KoubaLink specializes in motorcycle lowering and performance linkages for off-road and dual-sport rear suspension systems. Compromise is not an option at KoubaLink. We listen to riders from all over the world explain where and how they use their off-road and dual-sport bikes. With their input, we manufacture products that add to your motorcycling experience and make it a little more enjoyable.
