Description

The Hot Rod Kit CR250 (1984-2001) is a high-performance connecting rod kit designed as a heavy-duty OE replacement. Crafted from certified 8620 AISI steel for superior strength, the rods feature a uniquely designed big end with side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPMs. The kit includes a forged connecting rod, crank pin, crank pin bearing, wrist pin bearing, and phosphor bronze thrust washers. Crankpins are produced from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case-hardened to 58-62Rc for durability. The connecting rods incorporate the latest in caged needle roller bearing designs to ensure longevity at high RPMs. Small ends are double-drilled for enhanced lubrication and cooling of the wrist pin bearing. The rods are shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double-honed for an ultra-round bearing surface, ensuring reliability at high RPMs. This kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts and provides an affordable, premium-quality replacement for your CR250.
