Description

The Hot Rods 350Warrior/Raptor Connecting Rod Kit is a high-performance, heavy-duty OE replacement designed for Yamaha YFM 350 X Warrior 350cc models from 1987 to 2004. The kit includes a connecting rod, crank pin, crank bearing, wrist pin bearing, and thrust washers. Forged from certified 8620 AISI steel for superior strength and durability, the connecting rod features a copper-coated surface to prevent brittleness during the case-hardening process. The crankpins are made from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case hardened to a level of 58-62Rc. The assembly also includes high-quality, silver-coated crank pin bearings and SAE-recommended phosphor bronze thrust washers. Design highlights include a uniquely engineered big end with side scalloping and vent slots to minimize bearing race distortion at high RPMs, and a double-drilled small end to provide extra lubrication and cooling to the wrist pin bearing. The rod is shot-peened to eliminate surface stress risers and double-honed to ensure an ultra-round bearing surface for high RPM reliability. This kit is compatible with both Hot Rods and OE crankshafts.
