Description

The Kibblewhite Cylinder Stud Kit for Evolution Big Twin engines is designed for high-performance applications. These studs are made from heat-treated, aircraft-grade 8740 chrome-moly steel with a yield strength of 180,000 psi. The threads are rolled after heat treatment using hydraulic force, maximizing compressive stress retention for superior strength and extended fatigue life. To enhance durability, the studs are centerless ground to remove imperfections and ensure concentricity, reducing notch sensitivity. A radius is ground on the last thread to minimize the risk of failure at that point. The case-end threads feature a slight interference fit to maintain secure contact at high temperatures. Finished with a black oxide treatment for enhanced corrosion resistance, this kit provides exceptional clamping force, making it an ideal choice for stock replacement or high-performance engine builds.
