The Vertex Piston Kit is designed as a high-quality replacement for OEM pistons. Two-stroke piston kits are gravity-cast from aluminum alloy with 18% silicone content, creating a lightweight yet strong piston. Four-stroke pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum for enhanced strength and durability. High-compression four-stroke pistons improve power and torque across the entire RPM range, while big-bore pistons increase engine displacement, torque, and peak horsepower. All pistons undergo a T-5 heat treatment process for hardening and tempering. The piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) coating, which reduces friction, shortens break-in time, and extends piston life. Each kit includes a piston, rings, wrist pin, and circlips. Two-stroke replacement rings are sold individually, while four-stroke piston rings are sold as a set.
